The objective of this study was to investigate attitude dimension, family socio-economy status, and the achievements of the Form Four students found in several schools in Semporna District. A total of 367 students who had sat for the PMR Examinations (Lower Secondary School Assessment) in year 2004 were selected randomly as samples for this study. A Quantitative methodology, that is Questionnaire was used for this research. The information collected was analysed by using descriptive and inference statistics. Three main hypotheses were formed and tested using Pearson Correlation. As a whole, it is found that family attitude dimension such as material aid, morale support, or motivation, and aspiration were not significant with the students' academic attainments. From the finding, there could be used as a basis to investigate and anticipate that family attitude dimension is not a deciding factor, whereas family socio-economy as one of the deciding factors that shows the increase or decline of the students' academic attainments. A few suggestions are being proposed as guidelines to improve the students' academic performance.
