Abstract

This research was to analyze essential oils from the species of plants from the Rutaceae family using expression method. Yield of essential oil from Citrus nobilis was 1.44%, 1.29% from Citrus limon and 1.64% from Citrus microcarpa. The compounds were analyzed by a combination of gas chromatography and mass-spectrometry techniques (GC-MS). There were 12, 10 and 11 compounds respectively present in Citrus nobilis, Citrus limon and Citrus microcarpa. D-limonene was the major compound in all samples which were 80.42% in Citrus nobilis oil, 65.62% in Citrus limon oil, and 52.56% in Citrus microcarpa oil
