Abstract

This study undertakes is to identify the relationship between job stressors and examine its influence on job satisfaction amongst employees In the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) at Sabah. Role overload, role conflict and role ambiguity were selected as independent variables and job satisfaction as the dependent variable. The research is based on survey method using self administered questionnaire. A total of 266 respondents were gathered from 7 RISDA offices in Sabah , namely Pejabat RISDA Negeri Sa bah, Pejabat RISDA Daerah Kota Kinabalu, Pejabat RISDA Daerah Kota Belud, Pejabat RISDA Daerah Sandakan, Pejabat RISDA Daerah Semporna, Pejabat RISDA Daerah Keningau and Pejabat RISDA Daerah Beaufort. A total of 266 of the questionnaire were distributed, 216 were returned, 13 were rejected and only 203 were selected and used in the analysis process. Data analysis was conducted using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) program version 22.0. The result shows that Role overload was found to be inSignificant relationship between job satisfaction while role conflict and role ambiguity were found to be a significant relationship between job satisfactions. On the basis of the result of this study, it can be concluded that role conflict and role ambiguity has more influence on job satisfaction amongst employees in the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) at Sabah.
