Abstract

In our continuing search on halogenated metabolites from species of the red algal genus Laurencia, a novel squalene-derived triterpene polyether, named omaezakianol (2), was isolated from Laurencia omaezakiana Masuda along with 15,16-anhydrothyrsiferol (3). Their structures were determined by spectral and chemical methods. © 2008 Verlag Helvetica Chimica Acta AG.
