Abstract

This study investigates the satellite network that is applied to remote telecommunication network. The satellite network is planned based on telecommunication demand as obtained from the survey. The results of social survey which are representing the needs and capabilities of people in remote areas which are lack of telecommunication infrastructures in West Malaysia are given in this paper. Finally, two satellite communication systems are compared to accommodate the needs of people in remote areas.
