Abstract
This research investigates the impact of human resource strategy on employee retention in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province of China. In addition, the moderation effects of age, gender, and education level where also examine. The objective of this research is to examine whether independent variables (salary and benefits, career development, equality, and supervisor/manager/leader) has a significant relationship on employee retention, and alternative age, gender, and education level play a moderate role in the relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. The research founds that independent variables (salary and benefits, promotion opportunity, career development, and supervisor/manager/leader) have a significant impact on employee retention, and independent variable (equality) does not have significant impact on employee retention. Also, there are not moderating effect of age, gender, and education level on the relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. The research hypotheses were tested using SPSS tools of multiple regression and hierarchical regression. These findings contribute to the retention of human resource in an organization.
