Abstract

The purpose for doing this project is to determine the effect of solar flux to the photovoltaic cell. Three experiments were done include the day time photovoltaic, temperature effects to the solar cell, and the minimum brightness sunlight to function the solar panel. Lightmeter was used to measure the brightness of the sunlight and computer was used to collect the output of solar cell. The daytime photovoltaic and data were collected and a plotted using Microsoft Excel. From the result, the performance of solar cell was correlated to the brightness of sunlight. Beside the effect of sunlight, the temperature also had effect to the solar cell. Thermocouple was used to measure the temperature of solar cell. The efficiency of the solar was also culcalated. The lightmeter was also measured the minimum brightness which enable the solar cell to function. As the conclusion, the intensity of sunlight has major on the performance of solar cell comparing to the effect of the surrounding temperature.
