Abstract

Sound pollution is not a new issue. The main purpose of doing this project is to build a detecting sensor to detect the noise level around us. Like that, we can away from the noise which can influence our health or reduce the noise level. So that, a room noise detector is used to detect the noise has been build. The LED on the detector will tum on to indicate the noise level at range 50 dB to 70 dB, 70 dB to 85 dB or more than 85 dB. Two experiments have been done to test the functionality of the room noise detector. The first experiment has been conducted to measure the effect of number of student for the sensor. In this experiment, different number of student will be tested. From the experiment, can be seen that the increasing of the number of student, the noise level will become higher. The second experiment has been done to measure the effect of size of room. In this experiment, we can know that the size of the room wills b influence the noise level. With same number of person, the noise level in bigger size room will be lower than smaller size room.
