Abstract
The main objective of this research is to determine whether sound wave has effects to the growth of fungus. The fungus used for this research is Aspergillus spp. The fungus were cultured on potato dextrose agar (PDA) and potato dextrose broth (PDB) and exposed to sound wave for five hours per day for three day. This experiment was observed for three days and data were recorded everyday after the exposure. For this research, four different parameters were used to measure the growth of fungus which is colony forming units per mL, optical density, length of germ tube and the diameter of the colony were measured. In this experiment, it has been proved that sound wave has effects on the growth of fungus. When fungus was exposed to sound wave under the frequency of 5 kHz, 10kHz and 15 kHz, the growth was affected by the frequency.
