The fourth global conference organized by the PCO (Power Control Optimization) organizing committee took place at Damai Puri Resort, Kuching, Malaysia, on 2–4th December 2010. The main purpose of this conference was to provide an innovative advancement to the body of the knowledge in the area of science, computer, engineering and technology. Approximately 150 technical papers were submitted in the areas of power, control and optimization. The PCO organizing committee wishes to express their sincerest thanks to Professor Ervin Y. Rodin (Editor-in-Chief of MCM), Prof. Rebecca Brockmann, Ms. Jing Xu and Ms. Melissa Murray for their effort and support in producing a successful special issue of PCO’2010, Kuching, Malaysia. This special issue of Innovation in Optimum Technology consists of 25 papers that were selected from the PCO’2010, Kuching, Malaysia conference. The authors were invited to submit an extended version of their paper. The final selection was made after submitting the revised papers to a rigorous peer-review process. The managing guest editor expresses his sincerest thanks to all the reviewers and all the authors for their valuable contribution to this Special Issue.
