Abstract

The literature on expatriate adjustment suggests that higher culture novelty makes the expatriate adjustment process more difficult. Objective: The main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between culture novelty and sociocultural adjustment of expatriates working in Malaysia. Results: The results of this quantitative study showed a positive relationship between socio-cultural adjustment and culture novelty. Conclusion: The expatriates working in Malaysia demonstrate a higher degree of adaptability in socio-cultural adjustment.
