Abstract

This paper outlines the digital image enhancement techniques applied on cardiac Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI). The work is highly motivated by need to process the images after its acquisition which causes blurriness. Blur in cardiac images are mainly caused by motion artifact of the heart. Current methods of MRI diagnosing of cardiac artery are ineffective. The conventional method of angiography is an invasive, expensive and requires general hospitalization. Therefore the main aim of this research is focusing on the possibilities of applying MRI as a non invasive effective method to detect coronary artery disease (CAD). This paper mainly focuses on the application of Blind Deconvolution algorithm and Simulated annealing algorithm applied to deblur the cardiac MRI images. The later was proposed in this work and has better convergence towards obtaining better undisturbed images.
