Abstract

Prioritisation methodologies are often used to identify pharmaceuticals that pose the greatest risk on the environment, consider more practical and holistic then running lab toxicity test on each of the pharmaceuticals. This present study shows risk-based prioritisation using risk characteristic ratio employed with predicted environmental concentration of the active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in the surface water.
