Abstract
The study area is located at longitude E 115º41' to E 115º 46' and latitude N 5º 18' to N 5° 23'. The study area is approximately about 10km2 with half of the area are hilly land and another half are low land area. The study area consists of Crocker Formation which overlain unconformity by Meligan Formation and Alluvium Quaternary Sediment. The bedding in study area had a main compression at Northwest - Southeast. Generally, structural geology in study area is not complex. The factors that cause the flood in study area are because nature, shallow river, geomorphology of Padas River, weather and topography in study area. Study area consists of five categories of topography to be used to analyze flood occurrence which is Very Low Topography Area (5.50 meters from sea level), Low Topography Area (5.51 -7.00 meters from sea level), Medium Topography Area (7.01 - 8.50 meters from sea level), Medium High Topography Area (8.51 - 10.00 meters from sea level) and High Topography Area (10.01 meters above from sea level). All of the categories exposed with flood occurrence except High Topography Area.
