Abstract
Determination of heavy metal copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), Cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) already been done on two types of cockles that is fresh and dried cockle. This two type of cockles is undergo two different methodology that are dry-ashing and wet digestion process before analyzed using Flame Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (FAAS). For the result using dry-ashing method, the concentration of Cu is 5.83 µgg¹ in fresh sample and 7.33 µgg¹ in dried sample. For Zn concentration is 53.03 µgg¹ in fresh sample and 158.18 µgg¹ in dried cockle. As for Cd, the concentration for fresh cockle is 0.85 µgg¹ and 1.2 µgg¹ for dried sample and for Pb concentration in fresh sample is 2.1 µg/g¹ and 1.5 µgg¹ for dried sample. As for result using wet digestion method, the concentration Cu in fresh cockle sample is 3.43 µgg¹ and 3.73 µgg¹ for dried one. For Zn concentration in fresh cockle is 59.68 Ilgg-1 and 63.30 µgg-1 for dried cockle. While for Cd concentration, 1.65 µgg¹ obtained in fresh cockle and 1.53µgg-1 in dried cockle. Lastly, the concentration for Pb is 1.45 µgg¹ in fresh cockle and 0.88 µgg¹ in dried cockle.
