Abstract
Nannochloropsis sp. is a pbytoplankton commonly used as live food for larval fish, rotifer and artemia production. This study was done to detennine the growth of Nannochloropsis sp. in different ratio of Urea:NPK. This research divided into six treatment which are UMS 1 (1:1), UMS 2 (1:2), UMS 3 (2:1), UMS 1 + clewat (1:1 + clewat), UMS 2 + clewat (1:2 + clewat) and UMS 3 + clewat (2: 1 + clewat). The results showed the high mean of growth on Nannochloropsis sp. obtained under UMS 1 (1:1) treatment with the maximum value 30.6 million cells per mL. From the statistical analysis (fable 4.2), there was no significance difference of growth among the treatments (P < 0.05). There also no significance difference (P < 0.05) among all the treatments even though the mineral (clewat) was added in the experiment. Therefore, UMS 1 (1:1) treatment is necessary to use in Nannochloropsis sp. culture.
