Abstract

This study examines students' attitudes to the mobile phone as a medium for learning in terms of learning reliance on technology, improvement of knowledge from the perspective of learning process 'know-how" bJ Ihe 'show-how, enhancement of knowledge on difficult subject, constraint on the learning process, and mobility in learning. A questionnaire containing five open-ended questions was distributed to 20 students. The outcome from descriptive analysis construed that students have yet to embrace M-learning, as they do not usually use the mobile phone to access study materials such as lectures and lab sessions. Students are more comfortable with the face to- face mode of instruction and other conventional methods of learning. In addition, implications and direction for future research are discussed.
